Community Cloud Forest Conservation

I was lucky enough to be given the task of taking photos at the Community Cloud Forest Conservation in Guatemala, where protecting forests and supporting the surrounding communities is the focus of the students' and staff's lives. My goal with this project was to honor the subjects and capture their complex daily experiences with integrity and humility, actively and purposefully running the opposite direction of "white savior" and the often exploitative documentation that accompanies it.
